beeeeep!

More Friday Five-age!

1. How many houses/apartments have you lived in throughout your life?

Three family homes (one I don't remember cos I was much too young), one temporary house for a few months before the last proper house. One student halls room (catered, year one at uni), one student house (badly self-catered, year two at uni), one student halls flat (slightly better self-catered, year three at uni).

2. Which was your favorite and why?

The current one. It's out in the middle of nowhere; out nearest neighbour is about four hundred yards away; we're surrounded by fields; the town is over a hill so no big orange glowing horizon; and it's quite roomy. On the downside we get the worst of all the weather and we've been snowed in a few times, and our pipes have frozen... But otherwise it's great. It's just a shame we'll have to move out soon because of the aforementioned may-vultures-devour-his-liver-while-he-but-lives stepfather leaving...

3. Do you find moving house more exciting or stressful? Why?

A bit of both, maybe. But then I've never really moved house... not properly. Soon, though, we'll see...

4. What's more important, location or price?

I'd have to say location very, very closely followed by price. Why live somewhere shite if you can manage to afford not to? Don't always get that choice, though...

5. What features does your dream house have (pool, spa bath, big yard, etc.)?

Big garden (that looks after itself...); indoor pool maybe, good for being healthy and not turning blue from the cold; fully integrated computer network with sockets in every room; BIG bath/hottub kinda thing, regular baths are too small to really immerse yourself; home cinema system; out of the way, main road out of sight and hearing; night sky unobscured by the glowing lights of civilisation; the biggest net connection money can buy; extremely comfy sofas.

Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home." - John Howard Payne (1791 - 1852)
