Wow, congrats on the new job! Are the people nice at least? I look forward to knowing exactly what the heck it is you're doing.
BTW, just so you know, I have been keeping up with reading your incredibly awesome blog, it's just that my online time has been constrained to short bursts, which hopefully I can explain in full in LJ at some point!

They're okay. They invited me to the pub after/during work last Friday, so they can't be that bad! No real bonding or meetings of minds yet though; too soon I guess.
